32. Pierre van Hauwe
Pierre van Hauwe was a Dutch musician, composer and a music teacher. From 1946 he lived and worked in Delft, both as a teacher and a church musician in the former St. Hippolytus Church on Voorstraat. Until his retirement in 1982 he was director of the Stedelijke Muziekschool (Municipal School of Music) with its first location on Gasthuislaan. A lot of Delft locals mainly know Pierre van Hauwe as the man behind the Delftse Volkszangdag (Delft Folk Song Day).
